3 /5 TCU: Cute little restaurant to dine in in Balham.
Unfortunately, the experience started on a disappointing note. I arrived with a friend for a confirmed booking, only to be told it had been cancelled, with no prior communication from the restaurant. The manager was not available, leaving the waiting staff to manage the situation.
We were told there had been a recent change in management.
We were eventually seated. The food was average overall. The starters were enjoyable, but the noodle main had sections at the bottom that were undercooked.
The 3-star rating is largely due to Debbie and Manj, who did everything they could to resolve the situation and improve the experience. Without their efforts, this would have been a 0-star review.
