5 /5 hare super: Just tried the Chinese New Year menu at 6 Hamilton Place, and honestly, it’s such a unique spot in London. The building itself is gorgeous—feels more like a historic European members’ club than a restaurant, with high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, a sweeping staircase, and thick carpets. Totally the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re celebrating in style. The menu is fine-dining Chinese, with a mix of seafood and classic “hard” dishes. Highlights for me: Blue lobster – firm, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented Salted egg yolk sole – rich, savory, and surprisingly comforting Xinjiang lamb chops – full of cumin, surprisingly down-to-earth in the middle of all the fancy plating The dessert was a real surprise: a delicate “Goji & Osmanthus Jelly” themed for the Year of the Horse. Light, fragrant, and so photogenic—felt like the perfect way to finish the meal. It’s definitely not the cheapest dinner in London (£125pp minimum), but if you’re looking for a proper Chinese New Year feast with beautiful surroundings, private vibes, and a touch of ceremony, this is one of the few places that really delivers.

3 /5 Lima B: There are some real hits here but I feel like the set ordering menu does create a lot of waste which I personally feel uncomfortable with. The portion sizes are quite large and the menu is quite diverse in terms of culinary options. I would say if you have a particularly large appetite then you should give this place a go as you will probably find something on the menu to your taste. Two highlights of mine were the veal and the salt and pepper prawns. I think the novelty of set menus falls short on someone like me unfortunately.

4 /5 Thompson Torema “TT”: Had a lovely evening celebrating a friends birthday here. The staff were amazing, friendly, very attentive, and very accommodating. Most of our table had the Chinese set menu, myself and another friend shared the Lebanese middle easten menu. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The staff were also kind enough to allow some of our party to change their dessert options which was really appreciated. Venue was lovely and quiet inside, felt like a private dining experience even though others were in there.
