Caribbean Kitchen Pot - (Near , South East)

4 /5 Janet Burrell: My cousin was craving fried dumplings so we took a bus into Hounslow and then another from the bus station. It was along journey which we hoped would be worth it. As a restaurant, it was fine, available tables, order taken quickly ... The food was ok but not as authentic as we had hoped. We ordered curry chicken and jerk pork with a side of fried dumplings and plantain. The dumplings had too much salt which made them difficult to consume. The person who ordered the pork, said it was really good (not a Caribbean person), the curry chicken lacked the authentic flavours of a Jamaican curry and had more of a masala flavour. The portions were a good size and the presentation was good. I ordered a portion of dumplings and cabbage to take home. The dumplings as previously stated were too salty, the cabbage to my dismay had chicken peas in, not sure why, never seen that combination south of the river or in fact, anywhere else. All this being said, if I made it over that side again,I would go there again. Hopefully the flavours/ salt issues will be rectified.

5 /5 Biff Thornton: Really like this place, been a couple of times now and will defo go again. Tucked away like a little cafe in someones house, A nice chilled vibe, really like the food. Chicken wings sticky and lovely, Jerk pork a favourite and I really enjoyed the Jerk Chicken, rice n peas. Side of dumplins to mop up the sticky sauce. Was so inspired I went of and created my own Jerk sauce. Its a bring your own drinks, which we loved.

5 /5 emma gregory: Amazing 5* 100% curry goat is cooked to perfection, the oxtail was banging. Mac and cheese was delicious. Fried chicken was amazing. The service was warm and friendly, a lovely family run buisness. Would highly recommend .

1 /5 casper buggz: I can’t believe I have to right a review but after what I just had I’m fuming.. as a fellow Jamaican I support all my people so this was my first time at the restaurant I ordered oxtails rice and peas with jerk chicken for £24.50 I got home tucked into my meal but quickly spat it out and threw it in the trash. My whole meal was extremely salty Impossible to take one bite without drinking half a cup of water nothing good came out the meal the jerk chicken didn’t seem fresh £24.50 down the drain.

5 /5 E. S: We had a nice welcome into the restaurant and were given a table straight away. The food was very tasty, we ordered about 10 different dishes. From deep fried ginger and garlic prawns, curry goat, jerk chicken, and oxtail. Everyone was happy with their choice. Service was very good and atmosphere relaxed. I was so happy I had to personally congratulate the chef for his talent and must say thats the first time for me. The only suggestion to minimise workload for the restaurant is reconsider using those metal bowls for the rice as means extra washing up and sure people would be happy to have rice on same plate as the protein. I will be back.
