5 /5 Mark P: I recently visited COSMO Reading, and it truly felt like heaven-on-earth for an "all-you-can-eat" experience! The variety is massive, with dishes from every continent, and they even have a cool robot that takes you to your table. |I visited on Valentines day, they were fully packed with lots of booking, but walks in were generously admitted, and the hostess there did her best to accomodate me for a single sitting I was given a limited 1 hour time window to eat as were all walk ins, where possible. It was enough for me! But if you want a leisurely meal, please do book ahead as this is a highly saught after quality place, especially on publich holidays and weekends. At around ÂŁ30 per person, the value is unbeatable for the quality of service and the vibrant atmosphere.
Top Tips: skip the sushi and the heavy carbs. The sushi is very rice-based and can be a bit of a filler, so it’s much better to avoid the bland rice and save your stomach space for the high-quality meats like the Lamb Rogan Josh, Butter Chicken, all the Thai curries, English style roast, and a huge variety of seafood! One pont of note - the quality of the the dessert section is what I term BRITISH LEVEL; it was surprisingly bland with a very samey, buttery taste across the board. Even the chocolate fountain tasted more like butter than real chocolate! Ultimately, you come here for the excellent savory food and the top-tier hospitality rather than the sweets, and on that front, COSMO definitely delivers.
