StaraBrighton Brighton We visited for the tasting menu and were absolutely blown away by every single dish. This is fine dining at its very best — beautifully presented plates, incredible flavours, and a real sense of care in every course. It’s definitely a treat and on the pricier side, but it was worth every penny, and the 50% off through FirstTable made it even better. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Natalie Khoo Such a lovely brunch spot in Brighton! The interiors are super cute and give the place a really cosy, welcoming vibe. The food was great and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and made the experience even better. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a nice, relaxed brunch.

Dean Kerwin A decent full English at what I believe to be a decent price these days! £14.95 for a full English, with a tea/coffee, a choice of breads either toasted, B&B or fried. They even encourage you to swap items that you dislike to help them reduce their food waste.

Juliet Yang First time visiting the UK and Brighton for my graduation ceremony, and I randomly discovered this pub. It’s absolutely a must-visit. The atmosphere is cool and cozy, with a great selection of beers. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming (shout-out to Paul, Ben, and the chef!). I ordered the chicken burger (something I’d never tried before) and it completely surprised me. So good! The chef even came out to check that everything was okay, which was such a thoughtful touch. As an Asian female solo traveler, I felt completely safe and genuinely welcomed here. I loved sitting at the bar and chatting with the staff. I’ll definitely remember this place and will come back again.

Bertie Hutchinson Myself, my parents and my big brother have just enjoyed an absolutely delicious breakfast courtesy of the very accomplished chef and kitchen staff. Exemplary service from the lovely Debbie- from the moment we entered we were greeted with a big smile and a friendly interaction. You get the feeling nothings too much to ask and although this is a popular spot, the atmosphere is very calm. We are all vegetarians and the options available are very good. Definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future!

oliwia ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Open Bakery is, without exaggeration, the best bakery I have ever been to in the UK and I genuinely don’t think anything will ever come close. I lived in Brighton for a year and I was literally living right in front of it, in a flat across the street. It became part of my week and I still think about it all the time. The pastries are so unreal that I don’t even have a single photo… because the second I walked in, I couldn’t even consider taking my phone out. Everything was eaten immediately. That’s how good it was. The atmosphere inside is perfect, warm, cosy, inviting, and just the kind of place that instantly makes you happy. And the staff are genuinely some of the friendliest people ever. It’s not just a bakery, it feels like a little Brighton treasure. They have incredible bread and so many other bakes, but I have to mention my favourite pastry of all time: the chocolate and almond croissant. I am not joking when I say I still dream about it. Flaky, rich, indulgent, perfect in every possible way. I would travel back to Brighton purely to eat it again. I live in the North now, and I swear there is simply nothing up here that compares. And honestly… if Open Bakery would ever ship so far, I will be the first person placing an order 100%! Brighton people don’t realise how lucky they are.
