GAILs Bakery Kings Road - (Near Kensington and Chelsea, South East)

1 /5 Lynn: I came in to order a drink, and there was no one behind me in line. The staff member taking my order asked for my name, but her tone was unfriendly and I had to ask her to repeat herself. She was chewing food while speaking, which made it difficult to understand her. When she asked what type of milk I wanted, I had to ask her to repeat herself because she was still chewing. Unfortunately, the hot chocolate I received was terrible—it tasted like hot water with a hint of chocolate, more like flavored milk than an actual hot chocolate. It was honestly appalling. I usually don’t write bad reviews like this because I love Gail’s, but this particular location on King’s Road has been disappointing. I’ve noticed multiple other negative reviews about the staff here, so I’m not sure why nothing has changed. I already submitted a complaint through your website, but nothing was done. 5 /5 Dunia Ammari: Cute place, with a variety of pastries, whether you’re craving a savory pastry or a sweet one, you’ll find what you want here. The staff are nice and patient with the orders of every customer. Seating area is kind of small. Hygiene of the cutlery/tables/seats needs to be improved. I recommend you grab what you want with disposable cups/bags and go.

5 /5 Hélène B.: I really like their matcha, they use the Sayuri brand, which is very smooth, not bitter, and naturally sweet. Their blueberry & cream brioche is amazing, and their sandwiches and biscuits are always fresh and delicious. I also really like the King’s Road shop, it has a lovely atmosphere. I definitely recommend it.
