5 /5 Snehal Gaware: Been visiting this place for long time now. The food is well seasoned(spiced). Must try - Biryani, Garlic Naan, Filter coffee, Chaats and dosas. Service is friendly and polite. Atmosphere is good with nice interiors and views.

5 /5 ed jet: This is very difficult to write We booked here as we was stay nearby in canary wharf we was here for our 40th wedding Anniversary we was warmly meet by the staff and made feel very welcome The restaurant ambience is lovely and very clean We ordered our Drinks Food Starters Basket of Papadum & pickle tray and 3 types pickles all look fresh however bland no spaive or sweetness we both optioned for Chicken tikka which came as set meal with rice, dell, we ordered Bombay Potatoes and salad Paratha (2) Food come and was like surprised it didnt come out on hot sizzling dish, everything came and right lets get stuck in, However we both struggled because chicken Tikka wasnt breast it was thigh / leg, and seemed like it hadnt been cooked in clay oven, it wasnt nice and dry with like little black burn bits around the edges, it looked like it was cooked in liquid (boiled) !! and then dip in the sauces, because chicken you could taste chicken and not the tikka, Right it was very very hot spicy for tikka just overpowering as like all the other dishes, we did speak to staff about our concerns that it was over the top spicy hot and we couldnt eat it, as for the look and texture of the chicken we struggle as well, The staff did say we should have mention it, yes in one but we wasnt ordering and order curry dish ie like madras or vindaloo, Overall lovey place and friendly staff, Sorry

The vegetarian options, including paneer tikka, chili paneer, dosa, and dal makhni, were absolutely delicious—flavorful, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. Every dish we tried was fresh and truly authentic. The ambience was amazing, with beautiful scenic views overlooking the water and smooth jazz music playing in the background, which created a relaxing and elegant atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, especially John and Ajesh, who made sure we felt welcome and looked after throughout our meal. Overall, Grand Cholan is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for authentic South Indian cuisine in a stylish setting with great service. Highly recommended for team lunches or casual dining alike!

5 /5 London Local: Popped into Grand Cholan in Canary Wharf and had the dosa for dinner and some poppadoms with chutney. The food was absolutely delicious! The dosa was really light, crispy, and full of flavour. The service was great too – everyone was friendly and attentive without being over the top. We’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu.
