The restaurant’s interior was tastefully designed, combining contemporary elegance with cultural charm. Subtle lighting, thoughtfully chosen wall art, and modern furnishings created a refined ambiance, while the brass cups adorning each table added a distinctive touch of character and authenticity. For my meal, I selected Chilli Mogo (£8.49) and Chilli Paneer (£9.49). I was pleasantly surprised to be asked about my preferred spice level — a considerate detail that demonstrated both attentiveness and respect for individual tastes. The total for the two dishes came to £17.98, a fair and reasonable price given the quality and portion size. While waiting for my takeaway, I was courteously offered a complimentary cup of chai. Although I declined, having just enjoyed a coffee prior to my visit, the gesture itself was emblematic of the establishment’s genuine hospitality and care for its patrons. The chilli mogo arrived in a generous portion, which was certainly appreciated. However, I found that it lacked the crispness I typically enjoy in this dish. The flavour carried only a very subtle hint of chilli — perhaps a result of requesting a medium spice level — but overall, it felt a little too light in flavour and heat for my preference. In contrast, the chilli paneer was a well-balanced dish with a delightful combination of tangy and sweet notes. The portion size was just right, offering an ideal ratio of paneer, vegetables, and sauce. It was noticeably more flavourful than the mogo, yet it too was quite mild in terms of spice. I suspect that if I had opted for the dishes to be prepared at their standard spice level, it may have delivered a different outcome. In conclusion, this restaurant impressed with its welcoming atmosphere, refined decor, and thoughtful service. It is a place where warmth and professionalism coexist harmoniously — and one I would gladly return to, perhaps next time to savour that offered cup of chai.
