5 /5 Carol Burke: So pleased we made the trip to find Lucys on Saturday. We were visiting a friend in Ramsgate. Lucy was warm and welcoming and the food went down very well with us all. I especially liked the pie: lovely tender chunks of meat and a really good pastry case. Generous portion of mash and liquor which were made all the more delicious by a good splash of Lucys spicy vinegar. So moreish!

Lucys Pie and Mash in Margate is absolutely bang on, proper pie and mash just how it should be. They use Arments pies, and you can tell straight away they’re top quality. None of that reheated taste, these are really, really good pies. The liquor is spot on too, nice and dark, not runny, perfect consistency. I wont order mash if its my first time going to a new pie and mash as I am fussy so havent yet tried the mash, but will definitely order when I come next time! The atmosphere is a solid 10 out of 10, proper pie and mash served by proper people. Everyone’s friendly, the place has a great vibe, and it’s spotless, cleanliness 10/10. Overall, it’s the real deal. Brilliant food, brilliant service, brilliant atmosphere. If you love proper pie and mash, Lucy’s is the place to go. I ended up ordering some to take home to the family!

Chris Banham I popped in for a coffee as I heard it was pretty good in there. I wasnt disappointed, great coffee. I was then tempted by the cake menu and after chatting with staff I decided on Banana loaf, also great tasting and freshly made. What really made it a memorable experience was the 2 staff members on duty, both called George, they were both friendly, approachable and accommodating with a fantastic bit of wit and humour mixed in. Will certainly make a point of revisiting whenever Im in Margate.

Fi R Wowzers, such delicious food! Popped in for lunch on a Monday and the place was gently buzzing. Lovely vibe, friendly service - and did I mention the amazing food! The flavour and texture combinations in the sabih (aubergines, tahini, mango amba, dak dak, pickles and zhoug in soft pitta) and the green falafel salad were just gorgeous. Will definitely be back!

Rachel Adams Brilliant evening! Food incredible and staff were friendly and welcoming. Wheelchair guests was able to get in with a little help from the ramp (board) staff put out for us, fully accessible toilet (double rails for both sides of toilet). Definitely recommend everything about the place! Cant wait to return!
