Lulas Ethiopian and Eritrean Cuisine - (Near Oxfordshire, South East)

5 /5 Emily Williams: We got the vegetarian platter for 2 and this was absolutely delicious and huge portion size too! The staff were so lovely and welcoming. They even had live jazz music on for Valentine’s day. The atmosphere was so lovely. Can’t wait to go back!

5 /5 Peter Byrne: Really nice little restaurant opposite the Railway Station. Very authentic food and drinks. We had a very tasty vegetarian platter for 2, Tej honey wine, Eithopian beer and finally an Ouzo like shot, Areke. Food wasnt too spicy, but very tasty. Theres an event space at the back, where poetry readings and Jazz nights happen. Classic university town stuff!

4 /5 Lauren Walker: First of all ill start by saying, Ive been eating for Lulas since she was a trader at Gloucester Green Market. The food has always been incredible. In fact, I loved the yellow split peas so much that I ordered berber off the Internet and have tried to recreate this dish several times. Whilst my version is good, nothing beats or fixes the craving for it like Lulas. Secondly, the service was OUTSTANDING. I dont remember the gentlemans name that served us, but you could tell he was passionate about making sure people had a great time. The Ethiopian wine was a nice alternative, and even though I wasnt overly gond of the strong honey taste, it was nice to try it. Same goes for the Ethiopian beer, which was lighty and very drinkable. The food all around was incredible. My friend loved her lamb dish, while I adored my Gomen and split peas ( obviously). I love injera and eating with my hands so got stuck in. Only thing I would have liked is the food to be a little hotter (temp wise) and a bit of spice. I asked for some chilli but it never came. The dishes I ordered arent spicy, but I would have liked some.slided chillis or hot sauce on the table to be able to.add some. All around fantastic evening.

5 /5 Naomi Leigh: Lovely place located right accross the road from Oxford railway station. We ordered the gold plate vegetable platter for 3 and it was absolutely delicious!! And all Vegan too! The service was great!. They had lots of lovely looking desserts (all vegan too) may have to go back to try them one day but was too stuffed on this occasion!
