5 /5 Vic L: I have visited Moyolondon four times now, and each experience has been even better than the last. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem, tucked away on a quiet corner street. The cozy and wholesome atmosphere is complemented by the incredible energy of the place. The couple who run Moyolondon are simply amazing—warm, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. You can feel their authenticity from the moment you step in.
I brought my mum along on one visit, and trust me, she is extremely fussy about Nigerian food. For her to enjoy a meal and say it tasted as if she had cooked it herself is the ultimate compliment. Moyolondons authenticity shines through every dish they serve, and their consistent high standards have impressed me every single time.
The food is phenomenal. My favorite dish has to be the yam chips, plantain, and croaker fish—it is a simple dish, but the seasoning and preparation are perfection. The onions and stew are spot-on. My second favorite is the efo riro with eba. Every bite transported me back to Lagos—it is that good. They have just launched a new dish, ewa agoyin, and I cannot wait to try it.
Not only is the food authentic, but the drinks are also fantastic. The cocktails are creative and pair beautifully with the dishes. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, inspired by Nigerian culture, and it feels intimate yet vibrant.
The pricing is very reasonable, and you never feel like you are overspending. Moyolondon has mastered the balance of offering quality and value. My friends and I, from various nationalities, all agree on how special this place is. In fact, we are so impressed that we have decided to host our Christmas party there this year.
