Mumbai Avenue - (Near , South East)

5 /5 Neil Armstrong: Oh wow! What a lovely discovery. We were recommended Mumbai Avenue by some friends and we loved every moment in there. The front of house staff were lovely and explained about each dish as we questioned the intricacies of the menu. The menu, while not huge, was interesting and different. We ordered a number of dishes and found each of them to taste completely individual to the next. Were pretty sure theres no generic sauce/gravy used in this kitchen. Mumbai Avenue also doesnt charge for corkage which is refreshing in itself. As a group of friends we would normally gravitate to Nepalese restaurants but after our favourite Nepalese restaurant closed we have struggled to find a restaurant which seems to cook every dish individually, I think we have found a new restaurant, this time more south Indian, but one that puts beautifully fresh fragrant food on the table. If you wonder whether you should try it I would say yes and hopefully you will have discovered the gem that we have. Thank you Mumbai Avenue we will be back!

1 /5 Tony Patel: Atmosphere and ambience is good but food was not tasty at all we ordered the paneer and naan. Naan was good but paneer was full of onions, not the taste that I expected. First red flag was no one but us in the restaurant the. Had go find guy to give order, the food once ordered came really quickly.

1 /5 Joel Smith: I visited with high expectations based on the positive reviews. I ordered the mixed grill with garlic naan and masala chips. Unfortunately, the chicken was very dry. I raised this with the waiter, who advised that this was how it is normally prepared, although he mentioned it would be better on a future visit. Regrettably, I do not feel there will be a next visit, particularly as the pricing felt excessive. The masala chips were charged at £7, and there were additional charges of £1 per sauce served with the poppadoms, which was disappointing. This was a real shame, as the service itself was very good and the restaurant was clearly popular and busy.

5 /5 Hannah Deecee: Come here often and the food is always perfect. My favourite is the smoked aubergine crush with tomato tamarind rice - delicious!! The staff are always so sweet and lovely too. Very fair price, it’s BYOB and can be as cheap as £30 for starters, curry and rice per person for two people!
