Nandos Hornchurch - (Near , South East)

3 /5 Hayley J Bacon: VISIT DATE: SUN 07/12/2025 VISIT TIME: 14:40 - 16:00 VISIT TYPE: Family and Friends Visited with my daughter, her dad (my ex), our friends and their son. On arrival ignored by the lady on the till, which is directly opposite the door, but very quickly approached by a member of staff who was looking after the diners, and warmly greeted, before being given an option of where to sit. This was my daughter’s first Nando’s and she liked the restaurant and was very happy with our server, who immediately asked if she wanted crayons etc, For our meals, I opted for the 1/4 chicken with peri chips and a corn, her dad had the sunset burger with rainbow slaw and chips and our daughter opted for the Nandinos Chicken Burger. As she’s not keen on too much spice or flavour, I specifically selected plainish (lowest spice level you can have) and no mayo in the burger. Unfortunately, I didn’t check it when it came out and it did have the lemon and herb mayo in, so my daughter only ate half of it. We also had a portion of garlic bread so she had some of that, as well as her corn and cucumber. Drinks wise, we opted for a bottomless refill and tap water. Food was quickly prepared and as expected, tasty and reasonably portioned and the children’s meals are good value. The restaurant is fairly well laid out, but you can’t book in advance so you might not be able to get a table at times. It is also very noisy and there is limited space between tables so not ideal for wheelchair users. Step-free access, and there is an accessible toilet on the ground floor, but you have to navigate between the kitchen and the drinks dispenser to get to it. Other toilets upstairs. Good level of cleanliness and plenty of parking near by as you can park at Sainsbury’s, which is next door and parking is free on Sundays. Disappointed to learn that the BLC discount is only applied to one meal, not the total bill, unlike other restaurant chains.

5 /5 Chloe Cattell: From the moment I walked in, every member of staff smiled and made me feel so welcome. Atmosphere was great, busy but calm and great chilled tunes playing. The food was cooked perfectly, hot and fresh. I haven’t been to Nandos for so long but I’ll be soon returning thanks to the team.

1 /5 mervyn rundle: £13.60 for a couple of lettuce leaves, one or two bits of bread and a piece of chicken Absolute robbery. I spoke to the manager about it and was told its the head offices fault I told him Ive had the same meal in other Nandos and got a lot more than that. Shocking. The server was really nice and couldnt apologise enough. You could tell he felt embarrassed Will never darken their door again
