Sara C Always fantastic! This fish is so fresh and the chips are great. So are the sausages and the mushy peas! Everything is so good. Best chippy I’ve been to in London. Reasonably priced.

Mandla Moyo We really had the best team Christmas meal. The team’s feedback: succulent lamb skewers, pumpkin soup like velvet. Very delicate vegetarian options. The steak was to perfection and the goats cheese canapés were a delightful. The rum punch was for the win and word in the table was the non alcoholic was just as tasty. The games provided solidified the night and my goodness the staff was attentive. We wish we took more photos. Superb

Caroline Aherne We went for lunch, and would do it all again. Started with Irish oysters, light cheese puffs covered with parmesan, a zesty orange & radiccio salad, tender veal ossobuco, gremolata & buttery roast potatoes. Followed by sticky pavlova, rhubarb and pistachios on a pistachio sauce. Staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant atmosphere was relaxed - they also have another room (for bigger groups), from where you can watch chefs in action. Lots of wine choices and cocktails too.

Ashley Smith We had our first dinner at Sessa in Herne Hill last night and absolutely loved it! Firstly, the location couldn’t be better - it’s practically opposite the station, so incredibly easy to get to. From the moment we walked in, the team made us feel genuinely welcome. We were dining with friends and ended up trying most of the menu! The standouts for us were the Mussels Escabeche, the Beef Tartare and the Malfatti — all beautifully cooked and full of flavour. Also, fried pasta is beautifully simple but so good. We finished with desserts, including an incredible banana ice cream (this should be a regular on the menu!) and the tart. A perfect end to a brilliant meal. We can’t wait to visit again. Highly, highly recommended!
