1 /5 Heer: I visited Pacati Café in Harrow last week on a weekday afternoon. I was really excited to try their puff, especially since this is their newly opened branch and I had heard good things about it.
Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I ordered a regular puff, but it was extremely dry and clearly not fresh. The potato filling inside was completely dried out and tasted sour, which made it seem like it had been sitting for a long time.
I informed the staff that the puff was stale and not fresh. They offered to replace it, but the second puff appeared to be from the same batch and was just as dry and unpleasant. It seemed like the filling had simply been adjusted rather than providing a freshly prepared one.
As a newly opened café, maintaining freshness and food quality is very important. Serving food that appears stale or poorly stored can make customers unwell. Avoiding food waste should never come at the expense of customer health and safety.
I was also surprised to see such a high overall rating compared to my experience. I would encourage customers to read reviews carefully and check reviewer profiles to form their own judgment.
After receiving poor quality food twice, I didn’t feel comfortable complaining again and decided to leave. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves their quality control. I have attached a photo for reference.
