Paolos Restaurant - (Near Kensington and Chelsea, South East)

glena kurdi This Kurdish and Middle Eastern restaurant is a hidden gem. The flavors are bold, authentic, and clearly made with care. The grilled meats are perfectly seasoned and cooked to juicy perfection especially the lamb kebab, lamb chop which was tender and full of smoky depth. The bulgur was hearty and well-spiced, pairing beautifully with the mains. Fresh tandoori bread added a comforting touch. The platter was excellent and large platter for 2. Warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere make it even better. A must-visit for anyone craving true regional flavour. Not forgetting the price is super cheap for London.

Tsunami This place is absolutely wonderful. I got the goat cheese, beetroot, pumpkin and pomegranate salad. Was absolute fire. The bold flavours were all competing with one another: the pomegranate molasses and the goat cheese, with the lettuce and tomato setting the scene, and then you get a bold walnut aftertaste to take the cake. I ordered extra chicken on the side for more protein.

Been here 3 times and recently was Sunday night. Staff are obviously very friendly, service was great - food came quick and was exactly how I expected it to be. The combo meal is actually a very good portion for one person. We got the lechon kawali and pork sisig combo meal and had sinigang to share. Again, the portion for sinigang was great for two people and we even had enough left over to takeaway. The lechon lawali and pork sisig combo meal portions were great and I was shocked how much meat they gave since other Filipino restaurants will serve half of that portion for nearly double the price. I really love to visit this restaurant every time we visit London as it makes me feel so nostalgic of back home. I always bring my non-filipino, English friends to try the food so they can taste authentic Filipino food and they have always enjoyed it!

Michael Ns The Sir Michael Balcon is a solid Wetherspoon pub with a relaxed, spacious layout and a good mix of locals and visitors. The food is affordable and reliable — classic pub grub like fish and chips, burgers, and breakfasts served quickly. The drinks menu is extensive with great value for money, especially on ales and beers. Service is usually efficient, and there’s plenty of seating both for individuals and groups. It’s a convenient place to unwind without breaking the bank. Not fancy, but dependable and welcoming for a casual meal or drink.

Mataddi Fix An excellent pizza experience with high quality, fresh ingredients and great attention to detail. The dough is well-fermented, resulting in a light texture and a perfectly balanced crispness. Toppings are thoughtfully selected and evenly distributed, enhancing the overall flavour without overpowering it. The service is efficient and professional, contributing to a smooth and enjoyable visit.
