Dhanu Prashant (PD) The front-of-house staff (Parya and Ermioni) were friendly and welcoming. We loved their mixed grill — definitely a must-try.

Benny Green Absolutely fantastic experience! The food here was amazing and had proper authentic Indian spice, something you rarely find elsewhere. Food was spicy, rich, and full of flavour, just the way it should be. It really stood out compared to many other places that tend to tone the spice down. The price was also very reasonable for the quality of the food. Overall, a great dining experience and I’ll definitely be visiting again the next time I’m in Reading. Highly recommended!

The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. They were quick to take orders, served the food promptly, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the visit. Gosia Śka This place is always a delight! (This was not our first visit to The Rising Sun). Dinner for 3 with food and wine. Our dishes tasted amazing. Everything was hot, nicely presented and well seasoned. The service was very friendly and professional. Lana, who looked after our table was very kind and cheerful. Flynn Davies This place is such a hidden gem. Staff went above and beyond to make our (annoyingly) specific order. It has lovely vibe with a cosy rooftop terrace to enjoy an ice cold pint and delicious giant pizza slices. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Trinity Mcfarlane Amazing place!!! Went there for my friends birthday. It was my first visit. However a few people at the table had been previously and they recommended we get a bit of everything as they are small plates made for sharing. This was a lovely eating experience. The atmosphere was sensational. It was a quiet day and Alex went above and beyond for me and my friends. Even putting on a few cheeky song requests as we were the last table of the evening. The Cocktails were to die for! Flavours all around were amazing. I will definitely be coming back soon for sure and recommend this place to many!
