2 /5 Adam Moulson: Lovely location but food isn’t great quality. We had fish and chips at about £18. The fish seemed like a frozen meal, chips were ok but very small portion. Nice mushy peas and tartar sauce. With such a great location I’m sure this can be better.

2 /5 Issa Delos santos: It was our first time having lunch out without our baby, so we decided to book a table here. The venue, with its boats and ocean views on a sunny day, was very inviting. We arrived around 10:30–11:00am, and the place wasn’t busy at all. We placed our order and waited. The setting was beautiful, and the weather was perfect. A staff member came over with two plates of fish and chips, which we hadn’t ordered. We politely said it wasn’t ours, and the dishes were taken back to the kitchen. A few minutes later, I began to wonder if there had been a mix-up and if our order was delayed, so I went to the counter to check. Our food was already there, waiting to be served, but when I tried to explain that I wasn’t following up — only checking to make sure the order was correct — a blonde, middle-aged staff member cut me off. She spoke aggressively, insisting we had only waited 15 minutes and repeatedly telling me we had just arrived. She wouldn’t let me explain, and her tone made it seem like I was complaining when I wasn’t. The interaction ruined the experience. Throughout the meal, she made us feel unwelcome — even skipping our table when she checked in on other guests. It felt hostile, and we could not enjoy our meal. That said, I do want to commend the younger staff member who looked after us during and after we ate — she was kind and attentive. Unfortunately, the overall experience means we will not be returning.

2 /5 Julie Walker: Having decided to have lunch after a very busy Cowes Week - we chose this venue as the weather was glorious and marina views were lovely! I ordered a burger and my husband has steak sandwich and chips! We had to order our food and drinks at the bar. We waited nearly 50 minutes before our food arrived, not being made aware of the waiting time when our order was placed. Our food finally arrived and I asked the waitress for another glass of wine. I was told this had to be ordered at the bar. So I went to the bar and the queue was long! When I eventually got served the lady took my order and payment, then advised me to join the next queue to obtain my glass of wine. By this time, my food was on the table and getting cold. Irritated by this, I told the lady the system was crazy to which she replied “I cant help the fact that we are busy and how many pairs of hands do you think I have”. I was furious at this response so I returned to my cold food and felt very let down that someone in hospitality could be so rude. Another lady came over to ask how our food was. Needless to say she got the full bang!! She was very apologetic and offered us a free round of drinks. Sadly by this time the damage had been done! We are Island people and eat out a lot! This venue will not be on our agenda in the future. It was a burger and chips not a 5 course meal! Ruined my day!

5 /5 David Millar: Good food, excellent service, great views. We had the seafood platter special (photo missed the oven dried tomatoes). Plus bottle of Pinot Grigio. All excellent.

4 /5 Lafecoli: We ordered the mussels and mackerel which they were full of flavour; the service was relatively fast. I would recommend this place if you want something easy and tasty to eat while you are next to the sea. It would have been nice if there more options in the fish main section.
