2 /5 Dan white: After waiting over a 45 min later than diliveroo told me.
I finally received my order.
You would have thought the extra time would have blended the flavour and spices.
No
it was as if the ingredients were thrown in a pot
and served.
Lack of anything to do with a well constructed curry with depth of flavour.
All round disappointing meal.
Although to be fair veg samosas were great,
but the roti was not.
5 /5 Isidore Hitmouse: Prompt delivery (by the restaurant, not Deliveroo), good portions, tender meat, good flavours, free poppadoms/dip/salad, reasonable prices. Nothing that would be remarkable 15 years ago, but rarely seen in the wild these days.
5 /5 KPL: I ordered a Lamb Tikka Jalfrezi, Pilau Rice and some poppadoms. It arrived in 20 mins, was hot, fresh, really tasty and a generous portion. My first time from here. Fantastic job guys.
3 /5 susanna stephens: Seemed to care more about the delivery than people in the restaurant
Also felt tricked as I was asked if I want Pompidou which I said yes he said two I was like sure however a little later when a couple arrived who have obviously been caught out before as he said pomipdom she said yes he said 2 and she said yes as it’s one per portion isn’t it he said yes so nicely I now felt like I could have had one that was enough but he said two
I’m quite transparent and don’t like to feel cheated or like have been but I suppose they need every penny they can get
Don’t think I will be returning to be honest
Yh and he tried to give me big bear only because I heard him and said small one pls he rushed to correct it
Andrea Charles I’m a regular customer at firedog Cockfosters for the reasons that the menu is varied and the food is consistently of high quality. The staff (Andrea, Nick and Seren) are always friendly, which creates a lovely ambience. Chrissy the barista is especially welcoming and makes a great coffee! X
Daren Kenward A brand new Italian restaurant in East Barnet located opposite the Shell petrol station.
We were warmly greeted as we walked in and did not have to wait long while our table was being prepared. Fortunately we reserved a table as the restaurant was busy.
Decore is tastefully done with comfortable seating and a good choice of traditional (non Italian) music in the background with a great mix of tunes.
The waitress we had was extremely attentive with nothing asked being to much and knew what was in a seafood dish when questioned about the ingredients.
The menu choice is refined with a good choice.
Food was very well presented, hot, freshly cooked to perfection and portion size big enough as the Pasta dishes are surprisingly deep.
Parking is on the street or possible in the nearby Sainsburys carpark which is free but a maximum of 2 hours.
I would highly recommend this restaurant which focuses on a quality experience you will not find in the usual Italian restaurants.
Natalie Knightly WOW, perfect! Had as a takeaway, really fresh, delicious, amazing menu choices! Been telling everyone to eat here! Cannot wait to eat inside! New favourite place to eat, thank you soooo much!
Jordan Delong Booked in with the Cockfosters branch for a bridal shower - nicely designed restaurant, tasty food for excellent value, and extremely helpful staff including great help from Fatma, Hasan and Mert. Our bride-to-be had a beautiful day and I could not be more grateful for the hospitality from the team :) thank you very much!
Prakash Patel Amazing little gem. Food prepared with passion and love, that shows.
Fresh ingredients and the chicken on my pizza was more succulent and tasty than Nando’s.
I am FAR from local but I will definitely be back for more.
Keep up the great work guys.
