2 /5 Agnes Capon: Cavery was old, the only positive was the meat (which you’re only allowed two slices of). When confronted on unfresh veg, chef threw some water in the pot and cranked the heat up to «re cook» it… The dessert was taken off the bill as a result of this by a kind staff member, but the dessert was nothing to write home about either. Quite unfortunate that the food was so bad, when the staff were lovely and the venue is quite nice (pub part is very cosy!). But would absolutely not recommend, unfortunately

1 /5 suz dereli: We have eaten here so many times in the past, thought it was a safe bet for a good meal. Sadly we will not be returning. The carvery beef was so tough we had to ask for a steak knife to cut it and the gammon extremely fatty. A fair selection of vegetables but no mash potatoes so unless you enjoy rock solid (not crispy) inedible roast potatoes it was the only choice. The salt and pepper pots were dirty with bits of food stuck on them. When we asked for dessert menus, they came with food and sticky mess all over them. A simple wipe down of both of these things daily would be a simple fix? Puddings were microwaved and over cooked so the tops were hard and inedible. Finally what we can only assume was the general manager was loudly joking about another customer who asked for the music to be turned down. He thought he was being funny but it was totally inappropriate and childish in nature. This used to be a favourite place to visit but this was our last visit. Very unsatisfactory.

5 /5 Yvonne Coe: We were a group of 4. We had booked ahead and had the carvery which we had no complaints about. The cheese cake and treacle sponge pudding were excellent. Overall very Happy and plan to come back for an 80th birthday.

5 /5 Connor Puttock: Went for the Indian buffet as a family, staff were lovely and very accommodating, the place looks lovely with the new decor and very clean. Food was flavoursome, fresh and hot - great value for money! Kids menu was great too, our littles one had sausage & tomato pasta which were great portions & price. Garden area had lovely fairy light in the evening and also a park for the kids! only thing I would recommend is adding naan bread to the buffet selection otherwise it was perfect!

5 /5 Jenni Haywood: Went for a last-minute lunch here with my 7 year old and it was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was calm and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.
