5 /5 Ross: Stopped for lunch mid-week and was very impressed. Small but well considered tapas menu, using fresh local ingredients. Reasonably priced (£25 for 2 - 3 dishes and a drink each). Friendly staff. Nice location, especially on a sunny day.

I can best describe what Salt does as British Tapas, although I dont think that does it justice. You order a hand full of different plates of food and share it with the table, so everyone gets to try everything. I once ordered everything on the menu between 3 people and finished it all because it was so delicious. menu changes all the time, based on what they get fresh that day, Ive eaten here half a dozen times and my only complaint is that I havent gone more often. oh did I forget to mention they have a fantastic home brewed lager that does justice to top continental lagers. truly a fantastic dining experience, Im in heaven every time.

4 /5 Nick Rowan: Lovely independent restaurant on the edge of the town centre. Small and cosy with regular changing menus showcasing local ingredients. What I love most is the small plate approach. If there are 3 or more of you, you can simply order the entire menu! Half the wines are sourced from a local wine shop that care about the wines. The other half are a mystery. Go with the ones from the local seller. Great desserts. Friendly staff.
