Sasis Thai - (Near Oxfordshire, South East)

Chaz Nezha A lovely Arabic café in one a historical corner. The setting is nice with outdoor seating perfect for relaxing after hours of shopping, people watching, and enjoying the atmosphere. They also have two indoor areas, one cozy and family friendly, and another with a younger vibe. I was told they’re even working on getting their shisha licence soon. The food is amazing. I tried the shawarma sandwich, falafel, tabouli and one of their salads — all fresh and full of flavour. The highlight was their house-made garlic sauce with no eggs… truly to die for. Some people literally stop by just to buy it! I loved it so much I came back again later for another shawarma sandwich to take with me on my train back to London. A great spot for delicious Middle Eastern food, music, and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Vadim Belenov Bangkok House is an absolute gem in Oxford. The moment you walk in, you feel the warmth of a place that is welcoming, genuine and focused on what really matters: incredible food and a relaxed atmosphere. No gimmicks, no pretence, just proper Thai cooking at its best. Every dish is packed with authentic flavour, perfectly balanced and beautifully cooked you can taste the freshness and passion in every bite. It’s the kind of food that instantly makes you want to come back. Stop wasting time at soulless Thai chain restaurants. If you haven’t tried Bangkok House yet, you are seriously missing out. This is the real deal and one of Oxford’s must-visit spots.

Kate Most of the time when my daughter and I came to Westgate, we always had lunch at Pho. This time we came to have our late lunch around 2pm, still lots of people. A staff told me around 15 mins wait, but we didn’t wait that long at all for the table. My daughter ordered her usual Beef Brisket which she enjoyed so much. I ordered Wok Fried rice with chicken and dried shrimp. It’s so tasty and flavourful, loved it. We also ordered Prawn summer rolls, Baby squids and Seafood spring rolls. Full table but we finished them all. Good food and good service. Highly recommend.

Abigail Clayton Lovely pub. Really recommended - we went there as a table of 8 for a friend’s birthday and the food and service were excellent. We had starters, mains and puddings and all were delicious and came in very good time. We had table service for food and drinks and just the right amount of attention to keep our glasses filled but to much! Such friendly and helpful staff. And at such a reasonable price too. We will definitely be back!

Finnuala Q This place was very cute for afternoon tea. Service was fine but could feel more special. Nice location and very enjoyable afternoon tea with a good selection of loose tea leaf tea.
