1 /5 Essex Gary: What can i say about this place.... its prob like every other hotel chain restaurant around. Thought as they were promoting thwir festive menu i would give it a go... bad idea. The starter of festive nachos didnt get off to a good start as was told no nacho cheese. The nachos were weird. Aort of stale-ish.... and the turkey meat was straight out of a packet of sandwich meat fro tesco (other supermarkets are available). Looked ok...... but was not good. Have also been told that i will have a 40min wait for the main course...... When my Turkey roast rocks up.... the turkey is stone cold. SENT BACK. Im stunned. Shocked actually..... how can they let that leave the kitchen..... shocking Got my meal back 5 mins later after going in microwave. Suffice to say...... Meal was returned and i left.

1 /5 Adam G: Waited for 4-5 mins to be seated place was empty no one about so went and found a table for 3 family members and me. Went to bar waited for blonde barmaid who then seemed to want to have an argument because I hadn’t waited to be seated. Kept telling me I should have waited to be seated. Place was empty with no one in so I said sat over there waiting for others she just kept going on. The place was empty I explained that more people are joining us etc so just getting drinks until others turn up. The barmaid seemed to want to keep going over the same point which annoyed me I personally didn’t want to stay but rest of group was staying in premier inn. As a group spent around £400-£500 but really they should have lost this business. As a guide for price I ordered a fish pie that come out as a fish cake it cost £50 for two mains, 3 drinks and two desert. They charged my brother twice for his order but he couldn’t be bothered to argue with them. Overall a poor experience. The parking is poor as well says free but have to put reg in a computer otherwise you get a fine. If you stay over 3 hours get a fine also.

1 /5 Y: From the outside looking in it looked really nice. Staff were okay but nothing stood out really. But breakfast was very disappointing it was freezing hardly anything left on the hot trays no matter what time we booked. Eggs were super rubbery, toaster took forever to toast hot drinks were not hot drinks more like warmish coffee. Waited a while for someone to warm up Panna chocolate to be told she can’t do it and wait for someone else to come. Dinner again very disappointing it was rock solid and cold. Foods didn’t look like how they were in the menu including desserts. Service was pretty slow. There was a pool table but no TV? Wouldn’t come here again. It was pretty expensive as well.

2 /5 ScooterVonHootananny: These places are an enigma. The staff are great but the place is always tired looking. But thats what you get if you compete on price. The weird thing is checking into a double room to hear you only get one keycard . Me having to leave the room and my partner still in the room preparing to go to sleep . Who gets the card? She can either stay in the dark or had to get up to let me back in . Photos are from the adjoining bar . Again, great staff but tired furniture .
