5 /5 Natalie White: We hired an upstairs section for my daughters 21st birthday drinks. The area was really beautiful, with amazing views from 2 sides of the room. The hire was free, we had approx 25 guests, plenty of seating. Food ordered from the varied menu was delicious and arrived quickly. Staff were very friendly. Absolutely perfect venue. Would highly recommend.

5 /5 Yoga with Erika: I’ve been a regular visitor at Spice Island and I’m always impressed with the delicious food, great service, and lovely staff. Our recent Christmas reservation was absolutely fabulous — the table was beautifully decorated, everything was perfectly organised, and the staff went above and beyond to make the evening special. Even our fussiest guests were delighted with the quality and flavour of every dish. We felt truly well looked after. Many thanks to Sam, Riley, and Brad for making our dinner such an excellent experience!

5 /5 matt whiting: Havent been to spice island in a while, iconic Pompey pub with views of the harbour. Pub is lovely and clean with a great atmosphere, it was reasonably busy for a Sunday. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great would highly recommend a visit.

5 /5 Anne Jackson: Great Sunday lunch today. We requested a window table as it was our wedding anniversary and when we arrived we were directed to a lovely table overlooking the water. The reserved sign with our name on the table also had Happy Anniversary on it, what a nice touch! Our server Katie was lovely, checking in with us that we were happy with both of our courses (which we were!) and looking after us really well. Thank you Katie, you made a really good lunch great.

3 /5 Imogen Potter: I have rated this pub 3 stars, only due to the food. The atmosphere was brilliant lots of locals having drinks and tourists aswell (including myself). Me and my family had stopped here for lunch as it was a dog friendly pub. We ate outside and our food did take its time, and when it finally arrived my steak ciabatta was quite stale and my “medium rare” stake was rubbery and well done. I couldn’t finish this meal as it wasn’t worth the calories, but everything else (drinks, staff, atmosphere, view) was enjoyable.
