Steak on the Green Steakhouse - (Near Kensington and Chelsea, South East)

4 /5 millie o: All steaks were cooked to preference and the meat quality was good - tender and juicy. It was quite salty though (no pepper) so didnt use much chimichurri sauce in the end even though I ordered it. The sauce itself was tasty. The house salad was a bit unrefined with mixed leaves and very large chunks of tomatoes at the bottom, and dressing only on the top rather than tossed. Didnt get a picture but the desserts were pretty good. Theres no major complaints but felt that £65 per head was pretty steep as it didnt quite hit the mark for me. (Others at the table were very happy with their orders). The music was loud and because the restaurant was busy, everyone was shouting at each other so it was difficult to have a conversation at the table. The staff were all friendly and efficient so the atmosphere in general was good. It felt more like sitting at a party rather than at a restaurant. Something to bear in mind if you prefer a quiet dining experience. Overall its a great place for steak if you like a buzzy, party atmosphere.

1 /5 Luke: I visited Steak on the Green yesterday 30,11,2025 to celebrate my partner’s birthday with her family. The food was really nice, and the young blonde lady who served us was amazing—friendly, attentive, and a real credit to the restaurant. However, the manager’s behaviour was extremely disappointing. She adjusted her trousers right next to our table while we were eating, and later gave dirty looks when my mother-in-law simply asked if we could remove the service charge so we could leave a cash tip instead. Because of this unprofessional attitude, I chose to leave no tip at all, which is a shame because the rest of the staff truly deserved it. To be clear, the service from the other staff was excellent, but the manager needs serious retraining in professionalism and customer service.

5 /5 Katarzyna Pol: We have visited Steak on the Green several times, and we keep coming back because both the food and the service are truly exceptional. Everything here is of the highest standard — the staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to help, the dishes are beautifully presented, and the whole place feels spotless and inviting. The interior is elegant and cosy, with beautiful exposed brick walls, a great selection of wines, and a romantic, atmospheric charm that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment you walk in. It’s truly a beautiful place, full of warmth and character. Every starter we’ve tried so far has exceeded our expectations, and every visit leaves us just as impressed as the first. We wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy excellent food and a genuinely pleasant, memorable experience.

5 /5 G G: Best local steakhouse. Matilde, Kim, Allah, Mariana and all other staff are the best of the best. The filet is always cooked perfectly, cocktails are awesome. The new rack of ribs on the menu as a main course is also a must have. Thank you to all the staff for always providing an amazing experience.

5 /5 Catherine Parnaby-Munck: Wonderful restaurant and one of the best steaks I’ve had in the UK. Atmosphere is great, loved the jazz background music, nice decor and all of the staff were so friendly. Service was overall great, initial order was taken quickly but after our plates were cleared it did feel like we had been forgotten for a good 40 minutes - we were quite happy as we were finishing our wine and gave us time to be ready for dessert, but I wouldn’t dine here if I were in a rush, anticipate a more relaxed pace of service. The staff were all very busy and we had to eventually flag them down to take our dessert order. Steaks were incredible, as were the desserts. The sides were a little disappointing, especially the Mac and cheese - I think it was made with more of an Edam or similar, so it looked promisingly cheesy and melty, but lacked the cheesy flavour and tasted more plastic-like. Overall absolutely wonderful meal and we will be back!
