The Better Half Pub - (Near East Sussex, South East)

3 /5 Irene Todaro: Nice pub with a lovely atmosphere and very kind, friendly staff — we felt really welcome. We were expecting a bit more after reading so many good reviews online. The Sunday roast was good, but not as good as we thought it would be. The Yorkshire pudding was quite dry and seemed overcooked, the green beans were undercooked and I could not eat them, and the pork roast had more fat than expected, even allowing for pork being fattier. Overall a pleasant experience thanks to the place and the staff, but the food didn’t fully meet our expectations.

5 /5 Joe Shoubridge: We came here for the roast dinner and ordered the pork belly and nut roast. The pork belly was amazing however, the nut roast was slightly overcooked and solid on the inside. The staff were super helpful and took care of half the bill for the nut roast and then stopped serving it to the rest of the customers as they didn’t want to serve a sub par item. Great food, even better service.

5 /5 Dean Field: We booked in for a Sunday Roast while staying In Brighton for the weekend. The Better Half Pub was Highly recommended by locals we met. A Delicious Sunday Roast with various meats on the menu, we had Roast Sirlion. Of Beef and Roast Lamb, both cooked perfect soft and tasty, accompanied by roast potatoes seasoned veg, and a large Yorkshire Pudding. Great value for money and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend .
