5 /5 Brenda McMillan-Penny: Came here after the theatre and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was, especially considering how busy it was. We were seated straight away. While a couple of staff members didn’t seem particularly friendly, our waitress was absolutely lovely. The fish and chips were delicious, and the chicken pâté starter was just as tasty. I’d definitely recommend this place for both the food and the setting.

5 /5 Natasha oliver: We had an absolutely fantastic meal at The Boatman in Windsor. Located right on the river, the setting is nothing short of breathtaking — the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and memorable dining experience. The food was excellent, with the lamb shank standing out as the best I’ve ever had — tender meat just falling off the bone, perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried reflected real care and quality. The staff were brilliant — friendly, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating from start to finish. A special thank you to Lauren and Elsa for their exceptional service; they made the evening feel extra special. Thank you, Boatman team. We will definitely be returning!

5 /5 Team RTL: This lovely restaurant is currently beautifully decorated for Christmas. It has a laid back and warm atmosphere. The conservatory area is especially charming, and I sat beneath a neatly placed warm lamp which added to the comfort. If you’re sitting in the conservatory during this time of year, wear layered clothing, as it can get chilly. The service was prompt and attentive. I wasn’t sure what to order, a staff member kindly recommended some dishes and each meal was well presented, tasty, and served at perfect temperature. I went with a group of four ladies and we all thoroughly enjoyed the visit with no complaints. We had mains, desserts, soft drinks and one glass of alcohol ordered, spending about £30 per person. The location is very convenient. It has easy transportation options: it’s right next to the train station, has a huge car park, and even offers views of part of Windsor Castle, as well as being located beside the river. Overall, The Boatman is a wonderful place to meet and dine and I look forward to going back.

5 /5 Bleubirdy99: Our experience at The Boatman was splendid, I can’t wait to come back! We did not order any sides and went straight to the mains. We had slow cooked lamb shoulder, 10 oz Ribeye Steak and the vegan burger and all of them were delicious. But the star of the show was the vegan burger, so much flavour for it being vegan.Also keep in mind that the portion of the lamb shoulder was huge, you can easily share it with two people:) And then we had Elton mess and sticky toffee pudding for dessert to end the night. As of right now, they are having a 35% off the food bill for the weekdays until the 20th of March 2026, so be sure to take advantage of that deal!

5 /5 ADARSH VIKRAM: Really fun & cool experience. We booked a private party for our colleague. It was very good food and tasty food. We didn’t have to worry about entrances and drinks. Everything was taken care of by them. Thank you so much.
