4 /5 Markpigpapa: The food is not bad, the service is good, the pub looks very lovely. The location is very good. Sunday roast is good, the portion is good size. The price is a bit pricey be honest.
Free street parking on Sundays in Castle street, pay a little bit attention, only for a certain area, some areas in castle street are for resident only.
3 /5 mo. goes: Beautiful venue and lovely staff. We had The Library private room which was nicely decorated for Xmas but a touch chilly. Sadly the food & drinks were disappointing in part.. some really enjoyed what they had but the vegetarian main on the Xmas set menu was inedible, not sure what it even was to be honest! The parsnip soup was bland & watery and the cheesecake seemed to be the frozen kind with zero effort on presentation :( the vegetables with the main were nice and so were the greens for the table, although not enough were served for a big group. Spicy margarita was dreadful, sloe gin and prosecco drink certainly not worth £12.50.. but the espresso martinis were declared very nice by those that had them! I would definitely go back to try the normal menu and sit downstairs as the main dining area had a lovely atmosphere. Xmas set and drinks very expensive for what you get.. 3 courses, 2 drinks and an espresso almost £80!! Which would be fine if quality matched the price but on this occasion definitely fell short
4 /5 Raj Jas: Really good food and lovely service. Nice decor and lots of seating with casual at the front and formal at the back. Also garden at the back for more seating.
5 /5 Simon Lill: Fantastic location, venue and lovely staff. We visited for a Christmas time Boxing Day birthday so we ordered from the a la Carte menu for a change. All organised before hand as we were a large group. Arrived at the perfect time for pre drinks as the restaurant filled steadily. Great atmosphere, great experience, thanks to the team.
4 /5 Janella: Beautiful pub in a beautiful town. After being denied at every restaurant because of my tiny yorkie, we were welcomed in this cute pub. Very friendly server, and lovely food. While I’m grateful for them being the only place that accepted our dog, it has a very small and uncomfortable spot designated for guests with dogs. Otherwise great! :)
Bella Bonthuys Such a lovely family run business, very friendly people. My pizzas were delicious such affordable prices for the amazing quality. Thankyou again!
joe bassett Absolutely fantastic roast dinner!
Hungary Boys at The Plough in Farnham never disappoints, but today’s roast was on another level. The beef was cooked to perfection, the portions were generous, and the vegetables were full of flavour. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, with real care put into every plate. Friendly service and a great atmosphere too. Highly recommend if you’re craving a proper, delicious Sunday roast!
Alex Kennedy There is an area behind this place with picnic tables.
There are usually several types of sandwiches. It would be nice if there could be more chicken and avocado available. I really like the selection of cheeses. The members of staff are nice and friendly.
Raj Jas Such a lovely restaurant. Could have an amazing party here as theres so much room and the decor is gorgeous! Its like walking into a wonderland. The staff member who served us was friendly and professional. We had a meze - which was delicious and substantial.
Would definitely go there again.
Fateha - FS.Interiors We had a lahori breakfast here. Absolutely loved it! The taste was so authentic and so flavourful. We loved the nihari and paye. Will come again for sure!
