What Clients Are Saying The Hotel Continental (GG)
5 /5 Anna Sharp: I recently organised an event for 45 people. Lisa & the team were brilliant nothing was too much trouble. The lunch buffet was really tasty and enjoyed by all. Some of us stayed overnight, the rooms were spotlessly clean coupled with very comfy beds. Breakfast the next day was equally as good as the buffet. Thank you so much Lisa, the two Lukes, Tabitha & her colleague.
5 /5 Andrew Bergström: Absolutely beautiful this hotel right next to the beach, the room I had was very clean and well laid out with everything you would need during your stay , the staff there are polite and friendly and excellent food. And the buffet breakfast was very nice. I would highly recommend staying here.
5 /5 andy thrower: Small carpark at the back of the hotel but lots of street parking (charged at certain times).
Friendly greeting from the receptionist and all information given about the stairs to all floors.

The evening meal was amazing.
Good choices, a tad pricey but to be expected for the area.
Would definitely stay again when in the area.
5 /5 Michael Aron: Really good traditional British seaside hotel. Very nice clean rooms. Free parking at the back. Excellent breakfasts. Very friendly service. Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone staying in Whitstable (which is well worth a visit)
Carly Sked A regular sandwich pickup spot for me and a number of my friends. The fillings are always great and very generous portions. Lovely bread, spreads. Just totally yummy! Never been disappointed. The staff are really friendly too and they now have a really good Loyalty Card where you can get free drinks and crisps, money off etc with each visit. Great little local business which I would recommend to any Whitstable locals, or those visiting the town. A million times tastier than supermarket bought sandwiches and perfect for beach picnics. We will see you again soon for my fave prawn sandwich!
Emily C What a lovely spot to have lunch. We walked from Herne Bay round to Whitstable so were very ready for a rest and refuel. The guy behind the bar was so attentive, food was fresh & delicious and cold pints - what more could you want!
Dog friendly too!
Tia Fattal I will start with wow!
Sometimes you stumble across a little diamond in the rough. Drift is that!
I have been blessed with having the chance of eating in some amazing restaurants from the Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons to the Burj Khalifa.
But these places are diamonds that the world can see. The drift is still hidden tucked away in a little sea side town. A little secret where its food does all the shining. A visit is a must, tuck yourself into this family run restaurant, and be prepared for the dishes to wow you. From the oysters to the backed cheesecake everything fresh and handled by the chef with grace and care.
You will love it!
Agnieszka Donanska Great little café with delicious food and fantastic service. The sandwiches are amazing and the arancini taste just like in Italy. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. I can’t wait to come back again!
David Prescott Lovely rustic experience right by the seashore and yacht club. Delicious breakfast barms and good coffee. Perfect spot for a midway stop on a walk along the beachfront. Very very handy for our stay at the Whitstable beach house. Shame missed the happy hour oysters - fantastic value
