What I really value are the small details freshness, balance of flavour, and the care that comes through in every dish. I’ve visited many independent spots across London, and I’m always happy to pay the bill when the experience feels authentic and enjoyable.
This visit had some positives, but overall it didn’t quite reach the level I was hoping for.
The pasta ( penne all’arrabbiata ) was properly cooked al dente, which I appreciated. However, the sauce felt a bit flat it lacked freshness, depth, and seasoning. With a little more attention to flavour and aroma, the dish could have been much more memorable.
The garlic pizza was decent, but the dough didn’t seem freshly made. The texture was slightly chewy rather than light and airy. Improving the freshness of the dough would make a noticeable difference.
I also tried the tiramisù. As someone who is lactose intolerant, I’m usually willing to take the risk for a really good one. Unfortunately, this version didn’t feel indulgent or rich enough to justify it the flavour and texture were quite average.
Overall, the experience wasn’t bad, and the place has potential. With more focus on freshness, seasoning, and those small quality details, the food could truly match the expectations of diners who appreciate authentic Italian flavours.
