5 /5 Ilke Kartal: We popped into Tun Tun’s on Monday for their free student curry and I’m officially hooked. The staff were so friendly – the moment we walked in they greeted us with big smiles and asked whether we’d like veg, vegan, or meat. I went for the chicken curry, and it was still piping hot by the time we got home. Considering it was completely free, it was absolutely delicious – generous portions, loads of chicken and lentils, and packed with flavour. Exactly what I needed on a gloomy Monday evening. I’ll definitely be going back to try more, especially since they also do a £5 student deal. Edit: We did end up going back to try the £50 mega thali, and it was incredible. We also ordered two mango lassi – smooth, sweet, refreshing, and perfect alongside the spicy dishes. The fish curry was light and fragrant, and the pastries were unreal, especially the sweet coconut pathi. The chana daal was comforting, and both the aubergine pakora and onion bhaji were delicious. The chutneys that came with everything were amazing too – a perfect mix of sweet, tangy, and spicy. I’ll definitely be returning, and next time I’m bringing friends!

5 /5 felix: Went to Tuntuns today for the first time with my partner after walking past for months and always forgetting to go in, we’ll certainly be regulars going forward. Quality vegan food for affordable prices, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

4 /5 Hannah: Nice food and great value for money. Could have been a little more flavoursome/spicy but still good Very authentic and nice mix of dishes on the Thali and the paratha was very nice. Atmosphere was a little dead/dark but not much of an issue.

5 /5 Euan McDonald: Very lovely , it’s simple honest and tasty home cooked food , We shared - Bangladeshi fish curry and rice , home made achar - pickle , lovely mum just made it fresh with green mango and green olive , which was unusual , but the flavour profile was so authentic, lovely mustard notes and sharpness from the vinegar . Lots of fish in a delicate tomato , mustard , tamarind sauce , fresh green chilli liberally spread throughout. Not the over reliance on heavy oily pre-prepared restaurant sauces , that are often what we are used to in Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants. Lovely and freshly cooked Aloo gobi - and a simple yellow Dahl- with basic tadka and fresh green chillies . Served on stainless steel thali plate . Eat with my hands and am transported to many wonderful home cooked Dhaba experiences from across the whole south Asian subcontinent. Rice was lovely hot , steamed, a little turmeric and fried garlic and sweet onion running through . Hot fresh parantha , flaky and fluffy . Went back for more roti and chawal at no extra cost . So reasonably priced at £10 per head for veg plate and fish plate . Finished off with masala chai , fantastic £25 all in , what a bargain . Decor is like being in someone’s home - I like that .

5 /5 Primon Chowdhury: Authentic Indian Feast – A Must-Try Experience! I recently had the pleasure of enjoying this incredible thali, and I must say – it was a perfect 10/10 experience! The variety, flavor, and presentation were absolutely top-notch. Every dish was packed with authentic Indian spices and cooked to perfection. The thali featured a great mix of curries (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian), creamy dal, fluffy basmati rice, vibrant sabzi, and to top it all off – deliciously soft gulab jamuns that melted in the mouth. The portions were generous, and everything tasted homemade with a perfect balance of spices. The service was warm and welcoming, and the ambiance was relaxed – ideal for a hearty meal with friends or family. If you’re craving a truly authentic Indian culinary experience, this place is a gem. I’ll definitely be back!
