5 /5 Yara Fathalla: Very good food and an authentic Japanese experience. I would skip their appetisers and Seaweed salad though! Everything else was very good!

5 /5 Noé DUARTE: Great dinning experience ! The place is super aesthetics. Perfect for pics. The food is delicious as well and the service was perfect. I really want to try the cafe, tea house, inside the restaurant as well. But we just went for the dinner. It was on Monday so it was quiet. Perfect for a date or catching up with friends.

3 /5 Kirstie: Sadly not as good as it used to be. Overpriced for quality of food and location. The restaurant is still pretty and staff were friendly. The robata items such as the pork belly and mackerel were beautiful but everything else was average at best. The tempura and karage batter were soft and chewy. The ‘yuzu cheesecake’ was a ball of cream cheese flavoured ice cream sitting on crumbs, which was too frozen to eat and cost £10! We had been excited to go back after a wonderful experience in 2020/2021 but unlikely to return now. Considering we spent £136 spent (only one beer) we were only there an hour. It was very quiet and the service felt rushed. We didn’t get much of a relaxing evening as it was over so fast!

4 /5 Sasha Wong: We had a great time at Uchi, the sandwiches and matcha latte were absolutely amazing! Everything was tasty and surprisingly filling. You can tell the food is made with care. That said, the cafe was very busy during our visit, and the atmosphere felt a bit hectic. The staff were clearly working hard and constantly on the move, but because the seating is quite close together and the walkways are narrow, it didn’t feel very relaxing. If you’re looking for a calm, leisurely brunch, I’d recommend coming for a proper sit-down lunch instead of grabbing sandwiches like we did. Still, the food is definitely worth trying!

2 /5 Tetsu Ando: Nice little restaurant but be ware of their pricing strategy, I went there for a meal with friends, The staff and atmosphere were nice and clean. We ordered a range of items on the menu, the stand out dishes are everything from the Robata however we found several items were pretty unreasonable priced, such as the unimaginative hijiki salad which was a size of a zensai cost 10£ while a plate of quite substantial grilled pork belly priced at 13£. The sushi platter (10pc for 27£)was creative and nicely curated, but four pieces of pale looking tuna and salmon set us £20. Desserts were the same, one scope of tiny cheesecake was 10£ while three scoops of beautifully made ice cream at £8. I would check with the staff before ordering, overall, I can’t say it’s very value for money considering that the location is not even in central. I won’t be rushing back for sure. それは残念!
