5 /5 Lisa Guest: We had rented a cottage in the village and decided to try the White Horse, despite some of the reviews. The pub is situated on the main road through the village with ample parking on the car park. It also has a lawned area with seating provided. On entering the pub we were greeted by very friendly staff and shown to a table. There was a good selection of food on both the menu and specials board, to cover all tastes. The pub was busy, had a good atmosphere and there were plenty of places to sit. The decor was quirky and in keeping with the age of the pub. Our food was served by a friendly waitress. It was well presented and tasted delicious. We enjoyed our evening so much, we returned again twice that week. The final night we booked the Seafood Platter, which was exceptional and definitely could be shared by 3 or 4 people. A must if you love fish. I cannot fault this pub at all. The staff are warm and very friendly. By the end of the week you felt like a local. We will definitely return.
