j Reviewing the cafe: loved it. We were actually looking at the menu in the window of a different cafe, when we fell into conversation with a woman, and she recommended Crates to us. So thank you, whoever you were. It’s a quaint and cosy little establishment. They do the sort of things that you might expect a corner cafe to do; but they also sprinkle in some interesting little treats. They also strongly favour local produce. I had a jacket potato with locally sourced crab and prawns - delicious and not something that you often see. Good coffee, good service, good value. Thinking through what I would normally include in a review of a cafe: there are a lot of vegetarian options on the menu; there isn’t really a children’s menu (but there is a doggy menu); and there are steps into the cafe (but level access to the outdoor tables).

Aaron Weeks I am not normally a fan of burgers but I have now ordered from here twice. The food is excellent. The burger is a double with cheese and pickles, cooked great and thick, very filling. The chips are good and this evening extra big and crispy. Only negative, we walked inside asking about buy one burger get one free, but the gentleman told us its online only, so we ordered to take away. Would highly recommend for £6 per head!

Lavi Avy Lovely atmosphere and great for group celebrations We recently celebrated a birthday at Nando’s with a group of 15 people, and overall it was a really nice experience. The atmosphere was amazing — lively, welcoming, and perfect for a special occasion. We had a wonderful birthday celebration, and everyone felt comfortable and enjoyed the time together. The parking spaces are good, but they were quite difficult to find because many people seemed to park there even if they weren’t visiting Nando’s. Still, once inside, everything was well organised. Food-wise, I personally found even the non-spicy chicken a bit too spicy for my taste, but I was the only one who had this issue. Everyone else in the group loved their meals, ate well, and some even ordered extra food to take home. The kids were especially excited and had a great time. Overall, a beautiful experience, great for families and larger groups. I would definitely recommend it for celebrations and gatherings.

Julia Came here for lunch and had a great time. Staff were amazing, so accommodating and helpful. Portions were really good as well- highly recommend!
