3 /5 Lorraine: This tapas restaurant in the heart of Horsham has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly service that makes you feel at ease. The tapas dishes were flavorful, but unfortunately over-salted across the board, which overshadowed some of the more delicate ingredients.
A highlight was the braised ox cheeks - rich, tender, and melt-in-the-mouth. In contrast, the paella was quite disappointing, lacking the signature crispy rice base and overpowered by paprika, which left little room for other flavors to shine.
The tapas were served one by one, which stretched out the experience a little too much and made it hard to enjoy dishes together. Portions were very small for the price, and the dish consistency was lacking - we ordered a second round of ox cheeks and meatballs, and the portion sizes differed noticeably from the first.
Overall, a stylish spot with potential, but the food is overpriced and overly salty, with room for improvement in consistency and pacing.
