3 /5 Imogen: Staff are very friendly and attentive. My food and drink on the other hand was very disappointing. My Aperol spritz tasted horrible due to using prosecco that was the ‘last of the bottle’ it was quite obvious as it wasn’t fizzing, the staff did kindly fix it but it still didn’t taste right. The beef roast was supposed to be served ‘pink’ but it was so dark and fatty, when I asked if it was meant to be pink I was told it was the cut of meat at the end of the joint. Fairly disappointing

5 /5 Madison Ross: A very quiet and lovely place to go in the morning. Im sure things get much livelier at night, but for a breakfast date its perfect! The staff are lovely, polite and accommodating, and happy to help with a few small menu changes when it comes to dietary preferences. I would recommend them to anyone in the area, and will be coming back to try out the lunch and dinner menus soon enough!

5 /5 The Sauvagesse: Stayed at The Chequers while visiting family in the area and are so glad we chose to stay here. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are lovely, the food is good and the pub gets busy, but not to worry there’s plenty of space, even in the back garden. Our room was a stunner and we were glad to be on the high street as we could get to anywhere we were going. If you need to stay in the area, recommend The Chequers.
