5 /5 Michael Williams: Walked in and was immediately met with a genuinely warm welcome. I was acknowledged straight away, which already set this place apart. The gentleman serving me was respectful, friendly, and just an all-round decent bloke you could tell he actually cares. I haven’t even had the food yet, but the service alone has already been better than any other breakfast café I’ve been to. I didn’t want a couple of items and, without me even asking, he recommended great replacements. That kind of thoughtfulness is great. Outstanding service. Already feeling the difference.

5 /5 Supersupergirl: Frenchs Cafe, Hornchurch. Been meaning to post this since dining there last summer. Love this town with it interesting buildings near the station. Lunch was at Frenchs Cafe, a quirky greasy spoons with a Hawaiian style straw umbrella at the front yet it had superb offerings from Welsh rabbits with many options to avocado toast pairings with chorizo/proscuitto etc. I wish they had bubble though. The menu with retro American style illustrations left you spoilt for choice My blushing rabbit was delicious! Look at all that prosciutto you get with avocado toast, bargain for 10.25. They even garnished them with a big fresh stem of my favourite parsley. It was a sensory overload at this place as they had many vintage relics. My favourite was the cookery for the middle classes book. Literally everything you want to know about English food in the 1940s which not many seem to know these days. Then they had the viewfinder toy, LPs, blue peter book of pets.

3 /5 Christine Partrick: I’ve not visited this cafe before, but as Le Moulin was closed, I thought that I’d give it a try. It wasn’t a great experience, I’m afraid. I ordered scrambled eggs on toast, and having mentioned that I preferred the eggs creamy rather than overcooked, was served very dry eggs and smoked salmon. When I mentioned that I hadn’t asked for the salmon, nothing was said, but it was taken away with such a bad attitude. I actually apologised for this, I have no idea why, as it wasn’t my fault. I don’t think that I’ll be back

3 /5 Jackie Gan: First time in this cafe , had a good meal and service was good until we had a takeaway apple pie . They have given me the smallest cut of the pie ( already noticed the smallest pre -cut before he took the whole pie to the kitchen.) Do they think customer won’t noticed ?!! They have unfortunately spoiled the whole experience for me .
