4 /5 S Z: I visited Haz Bishopsgate this week with a group of eight colleagues for an early evening booking. The restaurant was reasonably busy, and we were seated upstairs quickly which was a good start. There was a brief wait before we managed to get someones attention for drinks, as our first request was missed, but once the waiter came over things picked up. Fresh bread, olives and drinks followed shortly after. We ordered a mixed starter platter and had asked for the vegetarian items to be served separately for one colleague. This was acknowledged, although everything eventually arrived across two platters rather than fully separated. Not a major issue, but worth noting. For my main, I had the Chicken Shish Kofte which was soft and succulent. The mains arrived promptly, and by this point the staff were much more attentive. It is a busy restaurant and, unlike some places where waiters check in regularly, there was naturally less of that here given the pace and volume of diners. Overall, a good experience with tasty food and the atmosphere you would expect from a popular City restaurant during the evening rush.
