Le Querce Restaurant -

Rating: 4.5 /5
REG I came to Le Querce with my mother who has coeliac disease meaning she cannot eat gluten without it causing her significant discomfort and pain. This usually means that finding reliable, good quality italian food comes with great difficulty and she rarely gets to eat it at restaurants. Le Querce accomodate well for gluten-free options, allowing all pasta dishes to be ordered as gluten free should you choose. The food we had was extremely high quality, fresh, and well prepared. I had the Buratta starter, my mother the aubergine parmigiana, and we both had the beef ragu main, each accompanied by a glass of red wine. The wine was dry, tasty, and well priced The atmosphere and service at Le Querce was top class, attentive staff ensured your needs were met and the room was adorned with colourful decorations.

GAILs Bakery Barnet - Barnet

Rating: 4.2 /5
Yosmary Pestana I’ve spent a lot of time at Gail’s in High Barnet during my maternity leave. As a new mum, finding places that genuinely feel welcoming and practical can be surprisingly difficult, but Gail’s really stands out on the high street. It’s one of the few coffee shops locally with accessible bathroom facilities for mums with babies, including a proper baby changing facility. That alone makes such a difference. Every time I come in with the buggy, the team are kind and helpful. They often open the door for me when they can and have never once made me feel awkward or uncomfortable about bringing the pram inside. Sadly, that hasn’t been my experience everywhere on the high street. Some places make you feel like arriving with a baby and buggy is an inconvenience, almost as though you are a liability rather than a paying customer. Gail’s is the complete opposite. The team are warm, welcoming and understanding, which means so much during those early months when even leaving the house can feel like an achievement. On top of that, the food and coffee are consistently great, and the café is always clean and comfortable. It has been a lovely and reliable place to spend time, meet other mums, or simply enjoy a quiet coffee. Well done to the team at Gail’s High Barnet. You have created a space that genuinely welcomes mums and babies, and it does not go unnoticed.

Jo Rogers We visited for the Rare Treat Menu. Arrived at 4pm. We were greeted and seated straight away. Was pretty empty when we arrived. We had three courses and they were all amazing. Food came out extremely quickly. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the onion loaf and lettuce wedge were really good. Cookie pie was not available for dessert which was a little disappointing but the puds were good anyway. Sue, our waitress was lovely. We were given a complimentary set treat as we were celebrating my husbands remission. Thank you
