5 /5 The Kosher Reviewer: Novellino Bistro has become one of my absolute favourites in Golders Green. I’ve eaten here a few times now, and every visit has been spot-on. The food is consistently excellent — their steaks are cooked perfectly, and the portions are generous without feeling heavy. You can really taste the quality in everything they serve.
The atmosphere is warm and classy without being pretentious, and the staff always make you feel looked after — friendly, professional, and attentive in just the right way. It’s a place that works just as well for a relaxed dinner as it does for something special. If you haven’t tried Novellino yet, you’re missing out — it’s easily one of the best kosher dining experiences in London.
That said, the communication before my last visit could be improved. I made a reservation for nine people, and the confirmation email I received was very brief — it just said, “thanks for getting in touch, it’s okay as long as everyone takes a main course.” In my opinion, for a restaurant of this standard, it would feel much more welcoming if the message was phrased more warmly, for example: “Thank you for your booking — we look forward to welcoming you! Please note that for larger groups, everyone is required to order a main course.”
It’s a small detail, but presentation and tone make a difference — and since the dining experience itself is so polished, I think the booking process should reflect that same care. Still, once we arrived, everything was fantastic as always, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
