5 /5 N V: Fantastic service and customer service. Really welcoming and professional. The atmosphere here is great and cosy as well as unique. Brilliant selection of drinks and a great menu to choose from. Open till late and has dessert and live sports showing with outdoor garden. Very good atmosphere and very clean.

1 /5 B Dha: So disappointed with this place. Every Friday the same problem when all I want is a few drinks with my family. We arrived at 6.30pm and bought drinks from the bar and then couldn’t find a table to sit at as ALL tables were reserved. The non reserved tables were busy. I asked the staff for help she said there are seats at the bar or outside. Very rude. I have been a resident and local at this pub for many years. A truly disappointed with my experience tonight. We were asked to vacate our table at 7pm although the table was reserved for 7.30pm. With observations many people were walking around with drinks looking for seating. When this place was the Old Queen Victoria it was heaving! Now we have empty tables. Do we ask what’s happening to the hospitality industry when you can’t even get a beer on a Friday night. This was the scene when I left at 7pm. It’s ridiculous that tables are inaccessible in the local pubs. This pub is soon to be off my list if they don’t sort out what was once called “ hospitality industry” a PUB, not a restaurant let’s make this clear. Good luck and let’s rethink, why the industry is in absolute shambles.

5 /5 Robin FQ: This has been my go-to place for a Sunday roast (as well as occasional visits on other days) for the last few years now and it never fails! The menu is always enticing, the food always delicious and it always feels welcoming. Last year, as I was spending Christmas on my own in London, I chose The Grove for my Christmas dinner too, and it was a genuine delight. The only gripe I do have is that, as my mobility has diminished, I mostly use a wheeled frame to walk with now. Although the pub does have a wheelchair-accessible door at the side, it is very often locked and trying to attract the bartender’s attention from outside can be difficult. I quite often visit on my own so don’t usually have someone with me who can go in and either unlock it from the inside or ask staff to do it. It would be really useful if you could put a doorbell / buzzer there so I can alert the team that I need access.
