Jon R Tucked away in the charming village of Mildenhall, just outside Marlborough, The Horseshoe delivers a roast beef experience that’s nothing short of sublime. From the moment we walked in, the warm welcome and fresh, stylish decor set the tone for a perfect afternoon. The roast beef was the star of the show—tender, richly flavoured, and cooked to perfection. The Yorkshire puddings were golden and crisp, the roast potatoes beautifully seasoned with a satisfying crunch, and the vegetables? Surprisingly exceptional. Often overlooked, these were vibrant, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. And the gravy—oh, the gravy! Deeply savoury and clearly homemade, it tied everything together with finesse. Service was attentive and cheerful, even on a busy Sunday. If you’re craving a proper British roast with heart and flair, The Horseshoe is a must. Hats off to the team for creating a place that feels both elevated and welcoming. We’ll absolutely be back. PS chicken was good too.

johnlostinmusic Cream tea in the lounge. This afternoon we enjoyed a lovely cream tea for 3 in this beautiful place. It included nicely warmed scones, a large pot of tea and another of coffee - most enjoyable. The service was excellent. The whole experience was very special, and we shall most certainly return soon. Ps: if you are planning a visit, I advise you to book at least 1 day before.

Even though it was takeout, the dish arrived in great condition, beautifully packaged, and the enticing aroma made it evident that I was in for a treat. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, just the way I love it. The sauce was rich and flavorful, showcasing the fresh ingredients that Coco di Mama is known for. Each bite was a wonderful blend of taste—whether it was the essential herbs or the perfectly balanced seasoning, it felt like a true celebration of Italian cuisine.
