Mark Aukett Feels like a proper English country inn, with great atmosphere and friendly staff. Theres a function room to hire (I was there for a party) and the buffet was great. Id be tempted to go try the rooms and the main restaurant sometime.

Carl Jeffrey The rural riverside setting is perfect for anyone who loves countryside walks or fancies hiring a rowing boat to explore the river. I was hiking solo on a multi-day trek from Brighton to Rochester when I came across the Anchor Inn. It was a warm early evening, and as I ordered a refreshing pint in the front bar, the landlord Simon (who had never met me before) immediately noticed my rucksack and said: “If you’re looking for somewhere to pitch your tent tonight, you’re very welcome to use the field behind the pub.” It was such a generous offer that I gladly accepted. I spent the evening enjoying a few pints in the company of Simon and his staff, who made me feel completely at home. I didn’t eat during my stay, though the food looked excellent, but I can vouch for a superb pint of Harvey’s Best Bitter. The following morning, as I was packing up at 8am, Simon even walked over with a cup of tea – an incredibly thoughtful gesture that summed up the hospitality I experienced here. I truly can’t thank Simon and his team enough. The Anchor Inn is a brilliant riverside pub, and I’ll definitely be returning with friends. Highly recommended!

Kaan I have read so many good reviews but never really had the opportunity to visit myself so we finally got the chance to visit and I must admit it really does live up to expectations. When we first walked in it felt a bit weird as all the delivery drivers and staff are cooped up at the front in a very narrow corridor which leaves you a bit confused on what is going on, but everyone was super friendly and helped us to our preferred seating area. The setting is absolutely stunning I was really impressed as you just feel relaxed and comforted which was pretty awesome. The food was delicious and came very quick after ordering considering they have a very large selection of dishes, so hats of to the chef as everything we ordered was just simply amazing. Definitely a place me and my wife are going to be visiting more regularly.

Chris Sweetman Easily the best restaurant experience I’ve had in a very long time! Where to start. The food is excellent - we had the Selale Special. Beautifully presented and delicious. The seating is very comfortable and there are tables to suit everyone from large groups to solo dining. The staff are friendly and highly competent, engaging and intelligent. Portions are very generous.

Reese Luther The signature fried chicken was so tasty I forgot to take a photo until halfway through. Perfect with a cold beer! I had the braised beef Biang Biang noodles—big, tender chunks of beef and a rich, flavorful homemade chili sauce. Spicy but not overpowering—truly authentic. The staff was handsome, friendly and welcoming. A great dining experience! Best Noodle in London！！！
