Havering Park has a rich history rooted in its former role as part of the estate of the Royal Palace of Havering, dating back to the 11th century. The palace, initially established by Edward the Confessor as a hunting lodge, was abandoned in the 17th century, and the land was later acquired by the McIntosh family. The park was eventually opened to the public in 1976.
