Julie Jacobsen My family and I visited the Cotswolds from the United States back in June 2025, and while I’m a bit late in posting this, the experience was so exceptional I had to share. We were searching for the quintessential English pub experience, and we found it here. We loved it so much we actually returned a second time for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly set this place apart was the hospitality. Guy, the owner, is perhaps the warmest and friendliest person we met on our travels. He took the time to sit with us and chat about our trip, making us feel like locals rather than tourists. If you want authentic charm and a genuine welcome, this is the place to be!

Patryk Omieczyński One of the best pizzas we have ever eaten. The dough is as soft as a cloud. Very tender and fluffy. In the place it is made you wouldnt expect something this good. Fully deserving of their rating. Just 11/10 !

Oliver Lethbridge An incredible pub. Food is really excellent, the steak and ale pie & the fish and chips being standouts. Great, friendly service. The outside is perhaps a little unwelcoming (it was hard to tell it was open) but the inside was extremely charming and cosy. If I lived in the area, I’d be eating here regularly.

Barry Dodman-Edwards We have just had Christmas dinner there. 2 courses which were really tasty and excellent value for money. In fact, it would be good value in this area if it were twice the price. Francis Harper This is an outstanding little gem of a restaurant. Despite being rather busy, the atmosphere was so relaxed, quiet and inviting. The food was outstanding, with great portion sizes. I had to ask how the chef had cooked the bacon because it was amazing. The staff were first class. The young lady who served us was such a delight and attentive; she made us feel at home.

Hannah Folloni Really lovely pub, we got parked right outside the front door which was nice as it was raining. It is very dog friendly with treats for them at the door and the offer of a water bowl should you need it. The service was great and there were very friendly staff that seemed very happy to help. The food was lovely too. Loved the decor, it was very inviting and nostalgic of how a pub should look in my opinion. All in all a very lovely place to spend a few hours. We will no doubt be back.
