2 /5 halliday john (John H): Before writing this review, I questioned whether it was the right thing to do, potentially damage a local businesss reputation as there is always room for improvement. Sadly I think this restaurant may just be past that point and I feel obligated to warn other potential customers before parting with their hard earned money.
Ive ordered my takeaway from New Wing Luck for several years. Its a local restaurant that has generally delivered good quality food.
Recently, I made my usual order, the food arrived and there was a lack of care in every dish prepared. The King prawn curry was a mess, the source appeared as though it had been cooked days before, frozen and reheated. No taste or flavour.
The crispy chicken was cooked too long and over seasoned to mask that very fact. Bonus, a piece of chicken had a hair in it, just want a diner is seeking.
The crispy duck had some nice parts, but as a whole wasnt great and seemed as though little attention had been made to create even a moderately passable dish.
Most of the food went in the bin, due to the poor quality and for the sake of everyones digestion.
My only positive experience, the delivery driver was polite.
