Tucked inside an old pub on Columbia Road, it has that rare, genuine trattoria feel! Cosy, rustic and completely unpretentious. The space is full of personal touches, from family photos to small details that reflect Dara Klein’s story and cooking. It is not manufactured, it’s lived in, loved and real.
Every plate was outstanding. The chicken Milanese was perfectly crisp and beautifully balanced , simple, confident and full of flavour. And the bay leaf panna cotta was unforgettable, delicate, fragrant and simply perfect. You leave feeling like you’ve just had one of the best meals in a long time, your belly and soul will be full of love!
What makes it even better is how approachable it feels. The prices are genuinely reasonable, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and there’s zero pretence which is a rare sight in trendy east London. Tiella is honest, soulful Italian food done properly. Get yourself down asap !
