5 /5 Andy Weston: Fantastic example of early 19C design and construction as a domed glass and metal framed conservatory on a bath stone base. The dome is 38 feet in diameter and the entire frontage is 230 feet. Mainly used as a wedding venue now, the domed centre section is kept empty, however the wings are still used to display plants. The design and techniques used to construct this building were a precursor to later structures such as Paxtons Crystal Palace.
