Aamore Italian Restaurant - Thame - (Near Oxfordshire, South East)

4 /5 Stephen Gunn: Visited this busy restaurant yesterday for the first time. We were sat at a table in the large area at the back. Food was great, as were the decor and the staff. The one negative, and this was a biggie for us, was that it was very loud (hence 4* rather than 5). This was due to a combination of happy customers having fun and the marble decor acting as an echo chamber. If we decide to revisit, it will be on condition that we can sit in the smaller front area, which I suspect would be a little more peaceful.

5 /5 Ali Alzoubi: Delicious and authentic food. Visited for the first time on a Saturday night and despite not booking they kindly found us a table, and food was amazing. Brilliant atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

5 /5 Elodie Midd: We visited this restaurant to celebrate my daughters birthday and we have a really lovely experience. Food was 10/10. Especially folded pizza Calzone and Ribeye steak. Great service , hardworking staff. The interior design was very well, the ambiance gave warm Italian vibes. Compliments from our family. Highly recommended!

1 /5 Mya Tibbs: I’m currently sat at the restaurant, after waiting an hour and a half I’ve only just had my starter. I chose this restaurant over Prezzo because I wanted to support a local business and the menu looked fab. The wait has been shocking, I can appreciate its New Years Eve so expected a wait and for the restaurant to be busy but this is ridiculous. All the reviews are correct, the cocktails are very sweet. The wait times are ridiculously long. The food is very salty. I should have chosen Prezzo to be honest and sadly won’t be coming back. Not to mentioned they have a compulsory service charge, what service? I’m not getting any service yet I have to pay a charge for it? Update: Our mains came after about an hour and fifty minutes but by that time our appetites had disappeared. We made a complaint, the staff were accommodating and removed our mains (which we didn’t eat) from the meal. They did offer a discount as well. Overall not a fantastic experience which is a real shame as we thought we’d found our new local Italian.
