5 /5 Rosie D: Best Indian I’ve ever had! The food was to die for, I don’t know how they make simple lentils taste so incredible!! Everything we ate was amazing, we had poppadoms then scallops and chicken tikka to start, lamb shoulder and biryani for mains and a Dahl makani and it was absolutely delicious! They bought out a dessert and candle for my husband as it was his birthday and it was very sweet. Cant recommend going here enough

5 /5 Zara Zapico: What an excellent find! The service could not be faulted, they were so attentive. Every time I finished my glass of tap water, they filled it straight up without me even asking. The food was equally amazing. The menu has clearly been thoughtfully crafted, with modern Indian twists (for example the pictured venison curry which was delicious, meat very tender and curry full bodied), an incredibly selection of cocktails and yummy desserts. Special shoutout also goes to the popadoms which were not at all greasy, had a lovely taste and came with condiments that I hadn’t had before. The interior is also well decorated. Could not recommend this restaurant enough. There is also parking right outside.

4 /5 Virgil Stoian: My wife made a lunch reservation here to celebrate Valentines day. When we got there, there was only 1 couple that we could see, so the place was quiet. The host showed us to an available table and offered to take our jackets whilst we settled. We were given the lunch menu, along with the drinks menu. The host also offered us poppadoms and 4 dips and asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. After we placed our food order, my wife ordered a spiced mango punch which came within 5 minutes. The sweetness of the mango complemented the soft heat of the chilli. The starters arrived and they looked very good. We both went for the goats shoulder. The meat was nice and tender, although on the fatty side. For the mains, my wife went for the monkfish tail with coconut sauce, rice and dhal. The coconut sauce was a bit overpowering and the fish was very flaky. The dhal tasted lovely. I went for the mutton pieces in tamarind sauce with naan. The sauce was thick and very enjoyable with the naan. The cuts of meat were ok, although some of them were fatty, as well. The service was friendly and prompt and the location is well kept and cosy. The atmosphere, whilst cosy, felt a bit dark, as the lights were dimmed.

5 /5 Daniel El-Schaeddhaei: This restaurant went above and beyond to make our experience perfect. The food was great quality and truly so filling, staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Would strongly recommend!!

3 /5 Wayne Zimmer: We booked the Diwali Celebration dinner after reading the reviews and being impressed by the celebration event they had planned, including dancing. We are not locals so it required 2.5hrs travel to get to the restaurant. We arrived hungry and excited for the cultural feast. With many awards, accolades, and high reviews we were positive that we would be in for an exceptional experience. It was not. I don’t know what happened, if it was because it was Monday night, or because the restaurant was busy, or if the chef was sick, or maybe our expectations were too high, but sadly we all left disappointed by our experience. The set menu - all of the dishes looked amazing but the serving temperature, and portion was underwhelming. Sweet potato starter - was average with a too sweet sauce. Salmon - was slightly over cooked and dry. Duck pie - had lovely spice and flavours but was only luke warm. Kofta - had lovely flavours but with only 1 ball it was small. In total during all the 5 courses we had 1/4 of a naan each (see image). By the time we came to dessert our group was still hungry so we asked to buy more food from the Ala carte menu, but they informed us it was not available due to Diwali menu. The waiter asked if we were still hungry and we said YES. Dessert - looked stunning but the popcorn was not crispy and fresh, my dounut was dry and so hard to cut with the spoon as the only utensil we were given. The Flavours of dessert missed sharpness. The dancers did a great job. Sit in the middle of the restaurant if you want to see them more. We were by the entrance and they dance mostly in the centre of the restaurant. We are frequent visitors to restaurants with Indian tasting menus (Veeraswamy, Madhu’s, etc) but this is the first time we have left a dinner still wanting more food.
